Three Ways We Scope a Kitchen
- Refresh. Same layout, new finishes: cabinet fronts, countertops, backsplash, hardware, lighting. The fastest path to a kitchen that looks and feels new.
- Full Remodel. New cabinetry, countertops, and fixtures throughout, still within your kitchen’s existing footprint. Everything changes except where the walls are.
- Reconfigured. Walls move. This is for kitchens where the layout itself is the problem, not the finishes.
Permits in Kansas City
Kansas City, MO handles remodel permits through its CompassKC portal. An interior kitchen remodel needs a written scope of work plus existing and proposed floor plans, and separate trade permits if the project touches plumbing, electrical, or HVAC. Review typically runs about two weeks. We manage that whole process as part of the build, including the separate permits each suburb we serve requires.
