Timberhaus Studio is a Kansas City design-build studio, and Olathe is part of our regular service area. Permits in Olathe
Olathe runs its own building department, separate from the rest of Johnson County, with an all-digital application process for residential remodel permits. Any kitchen project that touches electrical, plumbing, or a load-bearing wall needs a permit and inspection through the city before work starts. We handle that as part of the build. It’s in our timeline, not an extra step you have to manage yourself.

Do you work on kitchens in Olathe?

Do you only do kitchens and bathrooms?
No. Kitchens and bathrooms are the bulk of what we do, but we also finish basements, take on whole-home remodels, and build custom millwork: live-edge mantels, built-ins, and cabinetry. If it’s part of the house, it’s usually something we can take on.
