Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed: August 2026

Timberhaus Studio wants this website to be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, rely on magnification, or need higher contrast. We design and build homes for people at every stage of life — including aging-in-place and accessible bathrooms — and it would be strange for our website not to hold to the same idea.

The Standard We Work To

We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the World Wide Web Consortium. It is the standard most widely referenced for public-facing websites in the United States.

Conformance Status

This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means most of the site meets the standard, but we have not yet verified every part of it — specifically the areas listed under Known Limitations below.

We have chosen the honest label rather than the flattering one. Every public page has been reviewed and corrected, but we have not yet completed testing with real assistive technology, and we would rather say so than claim more than we have earned.

What We’ve Done

As of the review date above, across all 24 public pages:

How It Was Tested

Every page was checked with automated testing tools, and every result those tools could not decide on their own was then measured by hand. That manual step matters: automated scanners cannot judge whether white text is readable over a photograph, and that turned out to be the most significant problem on this site before it was fixed.

Keyboard operation was tested directly, and the corrections were re-verified on the live site after publishing.

Known Limitations

We would rather list these than pretend they don’t exist:

Tell Us If Something Doesn’t Work

This is the part we most want you to use. If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, please tell us — you do not need to explain why, or know the technical reason, or use any particular words. "I can’t read this page" is a perfectly good report.

Email info@timberhausstudio.com or call 913-308-7758.

We aim to respond within three business days. If you tell us what you were trying to do, we will help you do it directly — by phone or email — while we work on fixing the underlying problem.

If you would like the information on any page of this site in another format, ask and we will send it to you.

Compatibility

This site is built to work with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, on desktop and mobile, together with the assistive technology those browsers support. It should also remain readable if you zoom to 200 percent or use your own browser or operating system settings for larger text and higher contrast.

Keeping This Current

Accessibility is not a task that gets finished once. We re-check the site when we add pages or change how it works, and we update the review date at the top of this page when we do.
